 P/T with potential of becoming F/T in near future. Blue Line Special Police (BLSP) is a State Certified Law Enforcement Agency, regulated under NC G.S.74e, the NC Company Police Program. We are contracted to real property to provide law enforcement for such properties as shopping malls, gated communities, apartment complexes, schools, etc. BLSP pays for each hour of work, NO COMP TIME! ALL Court time is paid at time and a half. Flexible work hours.
Under the supervision of the Chief of Police, the Officer performs duties in the protection of life and property and the preservation of the peace. The Officer shall enforce all Federal, State, County and Local laws in accordance with department rules and regulations. Patrol duties include enforcing traffic laws, investigation of crimes and accidents, collecting evidence, issuing State citations, and providing public assistance. The officer will be required to exercise initiative and discretion when faced with emergency situations. This work involves an element of personal danger.
Minimum requirements; BLET certified with minimum one year experience with NC Laws. Must be able to pass BLSP and State background check, drug test, polygraph, psychological and State written exam.
